This Week’s Curator: Saba Parsa of Saba Jam
Saba Parsa is the Iranian-American jam maker behind Saba Jam, a San Francisco-based small-batch food business rooted in preserving California’s exceptional seasonal fruit. She started with a simple idea: capture the fleeting magic of peak-season fruit and turn it into something lasting. Her jams are made by hand in small batches, with a focus on letting the character of each fruit shine. She sources locally, works directly with farmers and other small businesses, and develops flavors that are both unexpected and deeply connected to place, drawing on California agriculture, global flavors, and personal heritage.
What began as a passion project has grown into an award-winning Bay Area food brand with a community of customers, chefs, retailers, farmers, and collaborators. Saba believes small-scale manufacturing can be both economically viable and deeply personal, and she keeps production, relationships, and decision-making close to home through low-waste, hands-on craft. We think these are some of the most delicious jams we’ve tried, and we love the true farm-to-jar relationship behind every batch. For this farm box, she brings fruit-forward preserves that honor local fruit and capture a sense of time and place.
Order by Wednesday 9 PM or until sold out for next Friday’s delivery (LA only).
